My Story

Hi and Welcome.  I am Toni Heming owner/travel agent at Legacy Family Travels.  My love of travel and adventure started as a child.  My parents would always take my brother and me on Sunday drives to see new places or to local events during the summer and fall months, Summer was also a time to take the typical family vacation to a destination theme/amusement park or historic site.  When I was 16, we did a three week, cross country journey from Pennsylvania to California, such an amazing adventure with amazing memories.  

After marrying, my husband Brand and I continued to share our mutual love of travel.  As our family continued to grow, and we had our three sons, we continued the Sunday drive tradition that started with my parents.  We also discovered our love camping and spent many summer weekends camping and hiking at nearby state parks.  We would also do an annual vacation to a beach, theme park or historical site (my husband was a history buff).  Manu time we were able to share these adventures with family and/or friends.

Brad and the boys were members of a local Father and Son group where we involved in the planning of the annual father/son trip, as well as and annual family day or weekend trip, ensuring that these trips were educational as well as fun.

As the boys grew older, Brad and I were able to start taking some of our "Bucket List" vacations and dreaming of retirement and our vacation adventures yet to be.

Unfortunately, Brad was suddenly taken from us in 2013 at the age of 53.  I miss him every day and will be forever grateful for the travel memories with family, and friends, but especially that we did not wait until retirement to make time to experience some of our "Bucket List" vacation adventures.

I have chosen to honor Brad creating this travel agency to share our memories and continue our love of travel by helping you make travel a part of your legacy.

No dreams is too small or too large.  No destination is too close or to far.  I am ready to help make sure whatever type of vacation you are dreaming of will become memories to last a lifetime.

Are you thinking about having a destination wedding? If so, the most important question you should be asking is, “Should I hire a travel advisor to help me?” The answer is an absolutely yes!

I will help you determine the best resort for your wedding based on first-hand experience. I relationships with wedding planners and staff to get you information more quickly than you can on your own. 

Best of all,I will handle all arrangements for you,  and your guests' travel arrangements. Can you imagine trying to book Aunt Becky’s transfers and room at the same time you are sending out invitations and scheduling bridal fittings?

I  will continue to support you  once you’ve arrived at your destination. When cousin Eddy doesn’t like his room, he can call me to have it all worked out instead of asking you to fix it. 

If you choose an international location, this may be the first time some of your guests have ever been out of the country. They are sure to have plenty of questions about passports, traveling during the time of COVID, and what happens if they need to cancel their trip. Instead of calling you to have their questions answered, I will be available provide expert answers. 

Having me as your  travel advisor in your back pocket will give you an added layer of insulation between all the things that could go wrong with travel and the real reason why you are there – your wedding.
